‘Arm Lift Surgery removes excess fat and loose skin from the arms for a slimmer, tighter Appearance’

Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) in Dubai
Many patients with concerns about their arms often describe issues like "hanging skin and fat" or feeling that their upper arms appear too large. Many women express discomfort wearing short-sleeved shirts or struggle to find well-fitting clothing, as their arm size requires them to choose significantly larger sizes. If these challenges resonate with you, an arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, could be an excellent solution. Dr. Ahmad Tong brings decades of extensive experience in performing this procedure, helping patients achieve a more toned and proportionate appearance.

Our Credentials

Benefits of an Arm Lift
A Brachioplasty aims to remove extra skin and fat in order to achieve a smoother, thinner, more proportional upper arm.
It achieves this through:
-
Liposuction of the fatty areas
-
Direct removal of excess upper arm skin
The result is a significant amount of fat and skin removal in the upper arm, starting at the elbow extending to the underarm region.
Who is a candidate for Arm Lift?
Ideal candidates for an arm lift typically have loose, sagging, or excess skin on their upper arms as a primary concern. This condition is often the result of factors such as previous weight gain and loss, sun damage, aging, or genetics.
The ideal candidate for Arm Lift Surgery with Dr. Ahmad:
Large Upper Arms
Some patients find their upper arms disproportionately large compared to the rest of their body and seek a more balanced appearance.
Excess Skin After Weight Loss
Others, especially those who have undergone bariatric surgery or experienced significant weight loss, may struggle with “floppy” upper arms.
Age-Related Loss of Arm Tone
Many individuals notice that aging has caused their arms to lose tone, with wrinkles or sagging skin becoming more prominent over time.
Candidates should generally be healthy and physically fit. Both younger and older patients may experience these concerns and can be eligible for the procedure. Dr. Ahmad carefully evaluates every potential candidate to ensure the surgery is appropriate and safe for them.

The Brachioplasty Procedure
On the day of your surgery, Dr. Ahmad will carefully make surgical markings on your arms before the procedure. These markings outline the areas for liposuction and the skin to be removed. Once you are under anesthesia, Dr. Ahmad begins by performing liposuction to reduce arm bulk and prepare for skin removal.
Next, he removes the excess skin along with the attached fatty layer, taking meticulous care to remove just the right amount to ensure the arm looks natural—neither too tight nor too loose. The incision is then carefully stitched closed, and a dressing is applied. Dr. Ahmad follows the same precise process on the other arm before you are gently awakened from anesthesia.

Recovery from Arm Lift
Recovery from Arm Lift Immediately after Surgery
After Arm Lift surgery, our staff transfers you to the recovery room, where the nurses monitor you as the effects of your anesthesia wear off. Once you meet the appropriate criteria for discharge, Dr. Ahmad allows you to go home, accompanied by your family member or friend.
Recovery from Arm Lift at Home
After returning home, avoid any physical activity during the first week of recovery. Your arms will be wrapped in dressings and should remain slightly elevated while sitting or sleeping. To maintain elevation, we recommend propping your arms on pillows placed on either side. This helps reduce swelling, minimizes discomfort, and promotes faster healing.
You can expect your arms to feel tight and sore during the first 1–2 weeks. Bruising is usually mild and resolves within the same timeframe. Dr. Ahmad typically approves light exercise after two weeks, but activities involving the arms should be avoided until four weeks post-surgery.
For pain management, Dr. Ahmad prescribes narcotic pain medication, which most patients use for about one week following the procedure.
