Laser Gum Surgery in Dubai

Revitalize Your Oral Health with Gum Laser Treatment: Precise, Minimally Invasive and Fast Healing.

Laser gum surgery uses focused light energy to remove, reshape or treat selected areas of gum tissue. Depending on your diagnosis, it may be used for gum contouring or as part of periodontal treatment. It is not suitable for every case, so a dental examination is needed to determine whether laser treatment, conventional treatment or a combination is appropriate.

What Is Laser Gum Surgery?

Gum laser surgery, also known as laser periodontal therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment for periodontal disease and other gum-related conditions. The procedure involves using a specialized dental laser to remove diseased gum tissue and promote healing.

Depending on the condition being treated, the laser may also be used to reshape excess gum tissue or support selected periodontal procedures. Because different gum conditions require different approaches, a dental examination is necessary to determine whether laser gum surgery, conventional treatment or a combination of treatments is appropriate.

When May Laser Gum Surgery Be Recommended?

Following an examination, laser treatment may be considered for:

  • Reshaping an uneven or excessive gumline

  • Removing selected areas of excess gum tissue

  • Treating certain inflamed or diseased soft tissues

  • Supporting selected gum-disease procedures

  • Improving access to areas that require periodontal cleaning

  • Managing soft tissue around a tooth as part of a wider dental plan

The presence of bleeding gums or bad breath does not automatically mean you need surgery. These symptoms can have several causes and require a proper diagnosis.

What to Expect and When

Recovery Timeline After Laser Gum Treatment

Immediately After

Your mouth may remain numb for several hours after laser gum surgery. Avoid eating and drinking hot liquids until the anaesthetic has worn off to prevent accidentally biting or burning your mouth.

First 24–48 Hours

Mild tenderness, swelling or sensitivity may occur around the treated gums. Choose soft foods, avoid irritating the treatment area and follow your dentist’s instructions for managing discomfort.

Days 3–7

Tenderness and swelling should gradually begin to settle. Continue cleaning your mouth carefully and contact your dentist if pain or swelling worsens, bleeding continues or you develop signs of infection.

Follow-Up and Healing

Your gums will continue to heal after the initial recovery period. A follow-up appointment may be arranged to assess healing, gum-pocket depth and whether further periodontal care is required.

Aftercare & Safety Information

After your laser gum treatment at EDEN AESTHETICS Clinic, follow the personalised instructions provided by your dental team. Avoid eating until the numbness has completely worn off. During the early recovery period, choose soft foods and avoid very hot, spicy, crunchy or hard foods that could irritate the treated gums.

Brush and floss carefully, avoiding unnecessary pressure on the treatment area. Use mouth rinses or medication only as directed by your dentist. Avoid smoking, vaping and alcohol during the recommended recovery period, as these may irritate the gums and interfere with healing.

Mild tenderness, sensitivity or swelling may occur for several days. Contact EDEN AESTHETICS Clinic if you experience severe or increasing pain, persistent bleeding, worsening swelling, fever, discharge, an unpleasant taste or symptoms that do not begin to improve.

Seek urgent medical care if swelling spreads to your face or neck, or if you develop difficulty breathing or swallowing. Healing times and treatment results vary between patients, and ongoing oral hygiene and periodontal maintenance may be required.
